More Orgasms Please: Why Female Pleasure Matters is by two podcasters from The Hotbed Collective, their debut book, More Orgasms Please is an open, honest and at moments hilarious dive into all aspects of sex for women. It covers feminist porn, body image, menopause and much more.  Like the podcast that inspired it, More Orgasms Please is like the best sort of chat between friends: punchy and playful, normalising and educating. It is an eye-opening read that puts women’s bodies and our right to pleasure firmly on the map.
I get the feeling that the book won't work as well as the audible book, not because I think the book would be badly written, but more due to how the two women get their point across through verbal words, their personalities come through more than they would by words on a page.
This audible book focuses on female pleasure, it does focus on cis women and there is warning about certain chapters that could trigger people dotted about the book, they also have resources at the end if people want to contact certain charities for support.  While the book is focused on female pleasure, it also focuses on the changes women can go through, and that their relationships will also go through.  So this isn't a 'how to get the best orgasm all the time' it's more about how women should explore themselves, should try new things, use lube and toys, communications and also to be more open when talking about sex in general.
It's interesting to listen to, to hear these women talk about how sex wasn't the best to begin with, how they were having to learn as they went and now, as they are older, they are more bold to tell their partners what they want and how they want to get to their orgasm.
Is this a book everyone should listen to? I am going to say - surprisingly - no.  Not because I feel the subject matter isn't important, I do think men should listen to this just as much as women should, so they can understand what women could potentially be thinking/worrying about, but I know that there will be people out in the world that this will trigger, due to many different circumstances regarding sex, but if you are able to, check this book out, or go and look up The Hotbed Collective to listen to their podcast instead.
