*Prima recensione molto negativa su un libro di Murakami*
So quanto lui possa scrivere bene e comunicare moltissimo perché ho letto quasi tutti i suoi libri. In questo caso non sembra nemmeno di leggere Murakami. Il libro parte in maniera troppo lenta e a parte dei piccoli picchi, procede in maniera super prolissa e ripetitiva.
La trama non è niente di che, succedono sempre le solite cose che succedono nei suoi libri ma questa volta (mi è sembrato) in maniera esacerbata e senza un senso profondo dietro.
Metto 2 stelle e non una perché la scrittura è comunque degna.
Penso che questo sarà il mio ultimo Murakami, gli altri suoi capolavori tipo "Norwegian Wood" o "Kafka sulla spiaggia" li rileggerò sicuramente ma per quanto riguarda i "nuovi" libri abbiamo chiuso.

I have read most of Murakami’s novels and I loved this, though it might not be for everyone. I find these trips down the rabbit hole always engaging and while people may complain about the lack of action I was sucked in the whole way through. The nod to Gatsby is the tip off that this book will divide people.
I couldn't wait to keep reading and would stay up because of what might be but in the end it ended up lacking something.
The story comes in full circle in the end. That's one of the many things I loved about this book.
I do not know what exactly captured my interest in this book, i do not know if it's one thing or many things together. I do know that I've come to be engrossed in this book to this point that I couldn't let it go. I went back and read the words I've marked and I still marvel at this masterpiece.
The characters, the stories, the art and the way the author describes even the minute of details it creates a whole world of its own. If you had to read a book this year, I would say without doubt pick this one.
