It's fine. I prefer the novel format which allows for time to expand on the plot and characters.
I didn't think I had read all these stories but I must have at some point in the past because all of them were familiar or vaguely familiar. I don't know that these added anything groundbreaking to the series, but they're nice short stories for someone really into it.

This book was a complete surprise to me. My mum works in a library and said “did you know the new Alex Rider book is out?” I thought she was talking about Nightshade but then discovered this absolute goldmine of short stories!!!
I am such a huge AR fan. I love him so much. These short stories were absolutely perfect bite sized pieces of adventure. I read the whole thing in one day.
Horowitz’ imagination constantly amazes me. He’s such a talented author and I am so so so glad that he’s decided to write more about Alex!
I loved each of the short stories in this book. I don’t think I have a favourite.
