Me ha gustado el nuevo personaje y todas las escenas de accion, pero a veces el tira y afloja me cansa un poco.

The first book, Obsidian, I've read like a million times. It's one of my favorites, like Twilight, but with aliens. :) However, this was the first time I've read the second book in the series. I was afraid that I will not like it as much as the first one. Well, after reading it (and book #3), I think it's good, but for the future, I think I will stick with reading Obisidian. :)
Deamon is determined to prove to her that he likes her, not just because of their connection. His job gets extra difficult with a new guy in town. Blake zooms on Katy almost immediately. He is sure he can help her, cause something similar happened to him, but Katy shouldn't trust him.
My biggest issue with the book was Katy, while I like her, she can be extremely frustrating at times.

If you were to take a shot every time Kat did something dumb in this book, you’d be drunk by chapter 3

So confused with this series, I swear I have heard this before, but not sure which book…. Anyway I do really love JLA earlier work and it is so nice listening to these types of books again. Ended as a cliffhanger in a way, and can’t wait to listen to the next. Spice lvl nil, little bit of mucking around but that is all.

I did like this book, but i couldn't give it 5 stars. A large part of the book had Katy thinking i have to tell him, then she tells him about 100 pages later! I'm not going to say what part made me happiest because of spoilers but if you've read it you can guess. At last!! But a few parts of this book made me want to cry, a character i loved has gone :'( and then a character comes back but not exactly in one piece which made me want to cry :'( So all in all, i liked this book even if i wanted to punch Katy more than a few times, she got on my nerves in a few parts. And that ending! I need the next book now! :)

A BAZILLION STARS
5 stars Goodreads! Really? That's all I can give this book! I think they need to add a new rate for books made of pure awesomeness.
I was looking down at the end of my kindle screen at the percentage button & a little bit of me died inside every time I got close to the end!
I think I was grinning away to myself like an idiot on the bus, in the cafe and in work when I was hiding it under my to-do list (which didn't get done!)!
I literally cannot wait for Opal. I'll just have to do a couple of re-reads in the meantime!

2-25-21: overall I enjoyed this reread but OOF this suffered from a FRUSTRATING LACK OF COMMUNICATION. So many things about this book could've been wrapped up so quickly if Katy would've just SAID things. Ugh. This series is so addicting, and I found myself engrossed regardless, but there were so many times I wanted to bang my head against the wall because of the lack of communication.

OK I AM SO DONE WITH THIS WOMAN THAT WAS NOT AN OK WAY TO END A BOOK STOP BEING LIKE DAEMON AND MAKING ME LOVE YOU AND HATE YOU AT THE SAME TIME.
OK, deep breaths, Kristen. Deep breaths.
Anyway... ugh I really liked that. This series, for me, is probably going to continue being solid 4/5 reads for me. I devour them in a sitting or two and just can't help but fall in love with it, but it's also SO corny and SO cheesy in many ways. And the "twists" are pretty obvious. I think Armentrout suggested that they were possibilities long before they ever happened. But still, such addicting reads. IDK how she does it. It's really masterful. I think I preferred this one to book 1. I think this is going to be 9/10 (4/5) but I might change that. The 4/5 is definitely certain.

I love this series and I didn’t think I would! This book was just as good as the first one. I really felt for Katy when she realized that Blake was DOD. I know she just wanted to protect everyone and not feel so helpless (I would feel the same way). HOWEVER I totally would’ve stood up for myself more with him if I were her. I could not believe she was just letting him hurt her all the time. Ugh. I HATED how stubborn Katy was, denying her feelings for Daemon for so long. She knew she loved him and yet she was making herself unhappy. I also blame her for Adam’s death and it could’ve been avoided but i think so many small things snowballed into his death. Katy was just trying to help.

I loved Onyx more than Obsidian! Containing action scenes and mystery, I did not expect to see some of the scenes at the end. I am not a fan of the covers though, they are rather cheesy and awkward, but I do love the purple colour they have used!
Daemon and Katy are connected through Daemon's alien powers, making Katy a target for The Department of Defence. They have never known about their alien powers, until now. But not only must Katy run from them, she is also chasing them as she tries to find someone they all thought was dead, but is actually very much alive.
Katy was again brilliant in this novel. She continued to stand her ground and did not let others manipulate her opinions or decisions. She still had a guilty conscience which was a nice addition as a lot of female protagonists in YA novel, when in fights, just think about how they look and never think whether they should have really killed them. I also loved how her blogging was still kept in the novel; the 'In My Mailbox' scene was hilarious! I also really enjoyed how the romance did not take over the novel. Which leads us onto to Daemon… exactly the same thoughts as in the first novel: hot, snarky but loving.
The plot of this novel with a certain character was predictable, we all knew it! However, the ending was not what I expected at all, it all happened so fast but somewhat logically; even though it was a little rushed, it worked and there was no hanging around. There was also numerous amounts of action and fighting scenes that kept you on your toes, and shouting: "Don't go in there!". Alongside this, Armentrout showed no mercy to the characters.
This was certainly my favourite so far in the Lux series as it dod not hang around, was straight to the point with action and mystery. THAT ENDING!!!
