I read this book as recommended by the “together we read” initiative. I really enjoyed it. I have been reading a lot of contemporary murder mysteries and I believe this is on par with everything I have read from Lisa Jewell with added elements that make the plot more enjoyable for me— I love the integration of magic(k)Al elements, cultural knowledge and history, and the embedded social commentary germane to the story line. A very quick read.
