This is a pretty average book. Nothing too memorable to be a favorite and nothing too awful to be low-rated. The story is about a mother who deals with a painkiller addiction. The level of denial in the protagonist aggravated me throughout the entire story, but I guess that's what happens to addicts. Some people might like this story, it's a pretty quick, contemporary read, but honestly I'll probably forget about it within a book or two.
An interesting novel for sure. A departure from Weiner's normal chick-lit fare. Some serious addiction issues are dealt with. Things are tied up a bit too nicely, keeping this book from getting a 4-star rating from me.

Amazing and heart-warming, Jennifer's stories cut straight to the heart. Not only is her writing excellent, you can relate to it. Definitely recommend!
I love Jennifer Weiner's novels, but I couldn't connect with this one. It just wasn't flowing for me.
Honestly, this was not at all what I was expecting - definitely a different "type" of novel for Weiner. Very well written; felt like she had to have some sort of personal connection here because the emotions were pretty raw. Excellent read.
A very serious topic. But written in a way that you relate to the character and have sympathy for her. Great book!

Reading through JW’s backlist. Didn’t love this one, but I liked the ending. I listened on audio & couldn’t stand the daughter!
I am a huge Jennifer Weiner fan!
I really enjoyed this book as a look into the life of a suburban mom/drug addict! It seemed so plausible and scarily easy for the character to fall into the habit and not be able to give it up! One of the things I love most about Weiner's books is her realistic characters! Great read, about a frequently not covered subject.
