This was most definitely a fun book. The book is an anthology that was put together as a fund-raiser to try to save the Baltimore home of Edgar Allen Poe. There are a total of 48 short stories and poems, two of which are by E.A. Poe, himself (The Fall of the House of Usher and The Tell-Tall Heart). The rest are written by people who felt inspired to contribute, out of their own love for the master of the macabre. Most of them have a darker side to them, just as Poe's writings, but one of the beginning stories has a humorous slant to it. It is called The Case of the Tell-tale Black Cat of Amontillado (with Zombies and an Ourang-Outang). It was great fun. One of the stories was written by the author of a blog that I read. Her name is Pam Hawley, her blog is called Hawleyville, and the story is called Peanut Butter and Jelly. It is quite chilling and is, in fact, one of my favorite stories in the book.

If you are a fan of the works of Edgar Allen Poe, I highly recommend that you get hold of this book, especially since each purchase goes towards the preservation of his Baltimore home.
