This book was pretty good. The premise pulled me in right away, and the author does a good job at rolling out new information. The protagonist's actions make sense, but sometimes she does too good a job and ends up hurting her case, and there were times that the sexism made me want to scream (in the story, not in the author). Overall I would say an interesting plot and pretty well-executed.

This had a great start with the concept of a missing person finding out their workplace is starting a podcast to find them. However, the execution of this story left a lot to be desired.

I assume some of Rachel’s erratic behavior was meant to be chalked up to prior trauma. However, I found myself frustrated along with Vivian, Matt, and Chris because Rachel flip flopped a lot and just expected others to go along with it. I thought maybe part of that was meant to establish instability so the reader would suspect that she might’ve been delusional. Instead, it just felt like jerky writing.

The conclusions of some of Barelli’s books are very rushed and this one was no exception. The interesting reveal is glossed over in 2 pages max and I wished we got to see more of that.

The concept of this was interesting, but I wished the execution had involved a bit more care.

Great book! If you’re super into suspenseful thrillers, this may not be 4 stars for you, but I enjoyed it. I didn’t find it to be too drawn out or too unrealistic, well maybe a touch unrealistic at the very end but I enjoyed the story so I forgive LOL! This was a quick read, suspenseful enough to keep me interested the entire time but not scary at all.

Great engaging read. The story was fast paced and had me guessing how it would all unravel as time went on. Good mystery. There are a number of “conversational” F bombs that I’d love to have gone.
