Bit of a slow start but this trilogy was a rollercoaster I never expected! Peter and Ainsley are full of secrets from each other, from their kids, from their friends and family, and from themselves. When their marriage seems to be on the rocks, Ainsley proposes an arrangement of an open marriage. Peter’s not sure he agrees and jealousy rears it’s head and secrets are revealed…
Reasons I Recommend:
1) Short, quick chapters with alternating POVs
2) Parenting and marriage dos and don’ts and
3) So many plots and twists!

Lots of twists, a bit unnecessarily so. Some predictable, some not. Quick read though!

This book had a lot going for it and it had me hooked initially. It had excellent pacing and was a quick read. For the first half this was on track to be a four star read for me. But then, it took a turn. There are twists, as one would expect with the genre, but this one was like a nesting doll of twists in a way that quickly moved it to a two star read. It really went off the rails at the end.
There was a lot of negating the previous twist and it quickly came off as a "just kidding I changed my mind" type of twist. Which I can get behind once, but not multiple times especially in a book that is 228 pages long. I'm not mad that I read it and it wasn't a waste of time, but I won't read it again and won't be reading anything else in the series. I might try a different book from the author since I did like the writing style and pacing.
