Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Writing: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Plot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Characters: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Tropes: Ex’s Rival, Road Trip, Forced Proximity, Grumpy/Sunshine, Only One Bed, Sapphic Subplot.
3rd Act Breakup?: Yes

The Praise: I absolutely loved this. Millie’s so kind, funny, and trusting and I really enjoyed her interactions with Hollis and that he embraced her weirdness and loved her because of it. The banter was hilarious and their chemistry was electric.
I really enjoyed that Rose and Elsie’s love story was interspersed with Millie and Hollis’s. It emotionally wrecked me in the best way.

The Critique: I wish there was an epilogue!

Final Thoughts: Sweet, funny, heart-wrenching. Such an incredible book, a definite favorite of the year. Sarah has quickly become a new favorite of mine!

Oh my goodness, this book was precious!

We follow Mill as she hits numerous bumps in the road while delivering the ashes of Mrs Nash, her 90 year old best friend, to the long lost love of her life.
Mill ends up traveling with Hollis, someone from her past. He also needs to get to Key West, but for very different reasons.

Very strong grumpy sunshine and forced proximity tropes, both of which were done so so so well. There was no unnecessary angst or miscommunication.

Also side note--but Mills is basically a red head version of myself, so I was obviously rooting for her the entire time.

Absolutely can't WAIT for her next book. This might be my biggest surprise of the year (only bc I haven't heard too much about it) and one of my fave romance books of the year.

Honestly I was I kind of passively listening to it most the book, but wasn’t overly invested. The timeline was kind of insane. And then when it got to the beginning of the third act break up I realized I don’t actually care enough to finish it.
