Mind boggling, throws your brains all over the place and just when you think hey this is getting a bit boring, Nesbo does it again, swings you 360 degrees from what you were thinking. Very clever.

I thought this would've been a great setup for a farce but it was played a little too straight. Also that scene halfway through the book of the guy hiding in the bottom of an outhouse while his enemy defecates on him for like four pages was a bit too much for me.

Quite a different style of thriller... My dad recommended this one. Supposedly has a detective series as well, similar to the H.Bosch character. Will try it out this summer.
