Contains accidental pregnancy trope, I'm not really gaga for this trope but it fit this story/didn't force them together, the characters had already made their minds up about being together before it happened, plus the jokes about it were great 😆

The lettuce scene had laugh like nobody’s business. That’s all you need to know 🤷🏼‍♀️

I know so many people love this book and this series, unfortunately it was t for me. I just felt that some things were just uncomfortable and that made Cade unlikable at times to me. The story was fun and entertaining, but I didn’t feel like it took me a while to get through. I wouldn’t continue on with the series personally.

I enjoyed the book. It was an easy read. This book can be read as a stand-alone book, but I like that if you’ve read the first book in the Chestnut Springs series, you’ll recognise the characters and get to catch up with them from the first book.

So great to have two MCs who aren’t both constantly thinking “I’m not worthy” or “They can’t  love me back…” I loved how secure and confident Willa was. Also, excellent spice.

I am enjoying this series but it’s not blowing me away by any means. It’s cute and the spice is pretty good but the dialogue can be corny and sometimes the stakes feel a little silly. Also, Elsie, please tell me you understand feminism doesn’t mean swearing off men and children? It’s about equality and having a choice. You’ve made the same joke twice now and it’s just cringey. All that said, these books are decent palate cleansers and I definitely work my way through the series.
