Re reading the series for the first time since I was 14. Favorite characters are definitely still L and Ryuk. Love Ryuk’s fashion style. An icon. Honestly don’t care abt anyone else yet lol. But I’m enjoying it for the nostalgia.

So, I finally got around to Death Note, and now understand why it became so popular. Smart characters, creepy lore, and a dash of humor kept me eagerly turning the pages. The story is more complex than I was expecting, and watching characters outsmart each other is one of my favorite things, so I was happily surprised to find that's a part of this story. I'm gonna need some Ryuk merch, because he's kind of adorable... in a terrifying sort of way. I'm excited to see what happens in the rest of the series.
