It was an interesting read for sure. While I initially thought the book was to be centered around what happens after death, it instead takes a pivot into a sci-fi direction. The book still does talk of topics of life, and realizing that there is more to it, but the sci-fi really takes up the second half of the book. Overall an interesting read.

4-4,5 - unerwartete plottwists, bis zum ende hin spannend, gute philosophische meinungen, ausnahmsweise oke mit einem halboffenem ende - nicht das, was es vorgibt zu sein.

There is no way to describe this book without completely ruining the experience for someone who is thinking about reading it. I was very impressed with the writing and the story itself.

The sadness this book made me feel…….… *chefs kiss*

There was so many twists with this book that I did not see coming and I can now add it to my favorite books that I’ve read.

"Real life is only ever just real life. Messy. What it means depends on how you look at it. The only thing you've got to do is find a way to live there."

I don't wanna say too much about this book, because I believe that going into this book without any knowledge of what's going to happen is the best way to read it. I will say, though, that this book absolutely took me by surprise. I didn't really have any expectations for it, as I did not know anything about it, but I absolutely loved the plot and the characters. I will definitely be picking up more of Patrick Ness' books in the future.

I just thought it was underwhelming, I semi-liked the death and mysterious vibes but it was very repetitive and I disliked the way it was written. The pacing bored me and I felt we constantly got too many details like you don't have to explain how they got to the same place so many freaking times. I felt that the way it was written ruined the suspense for me too, it just got predictable in a sense. Like no, the plot itself isn't, but the execution sure is. Also quite unsatisfied with that ending as it really didn't give us the "right" answers and didn't leave us with any crazy questions either idk...

This is one of those books that make you wonder if there is indeed something more than this.
