I wasn’t very inspired by this book. It reads like a movie, and maybe if it were a movie with a talented cast breathing life into the characters, I’d like it more, but as is the writing just didn’t ever pull me along, and the time travel made no sense whatsoever.

This actually kind of made me feel hopeful. It was really great to read. It felt worth the time. It's a good depiction of people doing their best in a crisis situation and supporting each other that felt genuine. It is fast paced and easy to read. The characters are well written and feel real. The obvious comparison is the Becky Chambers Wayfarers series, and I think the vibe is similar but the setting and plot are unique in a good way. I also think it felt similar to a Star Trek episode where the crew have to come together and resolve a crisis. The ending was satisfying and I'm interested in whatever the author does next.
