I am kicking my feet in joy at having read this book! G.N's writing is captivating and the way she brought Nova and Maddie's story to life *chefs kiss*. I LOVED that they had this hatred and disdain for one another and after a mistyped number they start texting one another and getting to know the true them without realizing who each other is and then also falling for each other outside of that (again, without realizing they were also the secret texters). Nova is another new favorite book boyfriend of mine. THE MOUTH ON THAT BOY -fans self-. I love a book boyfriend that has a dual nature. He's cocky, arrogant, and rude but deep down he's the most loyal, lonely, and kind man. And Maddie, she also presents herself as having the perfect life and being the "Princess" Nova accuses her of when deep down she's miserable, lonely, and would give anything to be loved. She has her brother and best friend but, she wants love from her parents and to have a true love and not be forced into a marriage where she'll be cheated on, unloved and miserable. So she struggles hard to let herself fall for Nova (and her secret texter) because she knows she'll never have that because she's being forced to marry by her father. And them falling for each other despite everything was beautiful to read.
I loved the side characters. The banter between Hallie and Josh, between Archer, Reign and Nova, between Hallie and Maddie, Maddie and Nova, Maddie and Archer. The character interactions outside of the main couple were brilliantly done and had me laughing so often. The spicy scenes had me gasping! And the angst/tension had me on the edge of my seat.

There is nothing like a good enemies-to-lover romance and this one is no expectation. Maddie and Nova hate each other because of something her family did to his family. But the truth is Maddie hates her family just as much as Nova does, but it’s still fun to have the hate banter between her and Nova. Nova is a cocky hockey player and Maddie’s brother's teammate and he says said she is off-limits but most importantly off-limits to Nova as her brother also hates him. There is no way they can be together but yet Maddie knocks on the wrong door Nova’s there is no turning back for either of them. Because the chemistry between them makes that hate turn into lust and might I say something more? They are the missing pieces in each of their lives and they didn't know that piece was missing until they found it. The banter between these two was perfect and I love the journey I got to go on with them.

ok I came here EXPEDITIOUSLY after seeing a post about a SCENE and boy did it no dissapoint. I was in between books and this was PERFECTION.
