This was adorable. I'm fairly new to reading romances and have only read a handful, so I could be completely wrong. However, this is the first one I've read that I can fully relate to- my social anxiety is indeed sometimes so bad and I have such awful panic attacks that my partner and I occasionally have to communicate through notes or texting. It is embarrassing, but it works for the both of us and it was really fun seeing such severe anxiety being represented in a way where the romantic interest just went along with their needs instead of making it seem like a burden.

Just could not get into this. FMC was so cringe with her daydreams about this man. Also getting catfished and not being mad is very very fucking strange

Well into the book I just kept thinking "I hate these characters so much it's hard to read." But actually, how amazing is it that an author can create two characters that are so unlikeable that it forces such strong emotion from the reader? Then I was just impressed and had to know what else was in store. The characters eventually become more likeable so it was worth sticking it out for the cute wrap up. I was also deeply appreciative that they didn't rely on the miscommunication trope when it was starting to come up. And I really enjoyed how hard the author leaned into the other romance tropes - the AU menu items got pretty funny. Absolutely worth the read.
