A poignant read, providing a collection of essays on environmental activism. It was interesting to gauge a perspective on activism before the ecological and climate crises galvanised more widespread attention recently, with some essays originally written in the '90s and '00s. The last chapter is inspirational and lucid, and I found the concept of an 'erotic landscape' poignant. All things considered, this is a great introduction to environmentalism from an inside perspective; it's an easy, short read, doable on a train journey (as I did), or in an afternoon. For those who are familiar with the material, there are some glaring sociological and political ecological critiques, though - it might be worth taking with a pinch of salt!
