Not my favourite murder mystery to date. I think it dragged itself out quite a bit. I wasn't left feeling like I needed to close all my doors at night!

Great psychological thriller! It kept me guessing. Whenever I thought I might have it figured out, there was another twist in the story. If you are a fan of this genre, I highly recommend reading Paranoid.

Not a mystery or horror.
This book should be called “Gossips and daily dramas of a small town”. The book blankly tells about the affairs between a bunch of characters and oh btw there was a murder. The main storyline about the brother of one of the main characters being killed, is constantly brought up as a shocking revelation every few pages without adding any new details, facts or anything really to unfold the story.

The style of writing is also nothing that special. If you are to record the conversations of people on the street, it would be more or less the same.

A weak story with unlikeable characters and a stretched ending, as far a plausibility goes.

My review ratings are based upon the following:
1 Star, “I did not like it and wasted my time or couldn’t finish it”;
2 Stars, “I think it is just Ok, but I’ll never think about it again”;
3 Stars, “I think it is an entertaining, enjoyable book, and I’ll think about it again”;
4 Stars, “I really love this book, and I may read it again”;
5 Stars, “I think this book is excellent, I will read it again, and it will likely stand the test of time.”

I did something I have never done before and decided to read and listen to the audio book (1st audiobook ever for me) when I wasn't able to actually read. While I enjoyed the book, I had a hard time listening to the woman reading it. So, for those of you that like audiobooks...skip this one and just read the book.

2.5 stars. I feel like I spent the majority of this novel waiting for something thrilling to happen and then being disappointed. I really could not stand Rachel’s daughter. I honestly did not care about the passages about what Kayleigh, and while I’m thankful the main conflict was resolved, the final line makes it feel like there’s still more to the story.

It took a very long time to gain my attention. It had a lot of WOW moments, thrills and twists! But, definitely was not one of my favorites. Will definitely try other books by the author though!

DNF this book. I tried, but I could not get past the incessant inner monologues, characters talking to themselves out loud, and rehashing of the brother’s death. Character development was dull. I skipped to the end to see if I was right about the killer, I was.
