First book I DNF at 65% Please do not buy this book. It’s not a dark romance because there isn’t a romance. You don’t feel love reading this book and it’s only fucking. When they say love you don’t feel it what so ever. He isn’t nice, he isn’t acting like he is loving her and he only says she’s mine she’s mine like an obsessive hoarder. And I seriously don’t get why aria is getting horny from him? Like all of the sudden she is wet? For what? Because she sees a Dick growing in his pants? Because there is nothing attractive about him. He isn’t doing anything nice to her, he isn’t sweet or anything. And trust me, I love a good dark romance but this isn’t a dark romance. Not at all.

I really tried to finish this book because I hate not finishing a book but it really came to a point that I started hating reading and even thought there were no books left that I liked. I mean, 720 pages?! En no storyline..? Come on. Credits for everyone that can finish a book like this but I hope you read a better one soon so you know this book sucks. Never going to read a book from w.winters again. Never.

This book would’ve have been so much better if it was shorter. There were parts that were intriguing and parts that bore me.

Carter Cross is a lunatic and I just couldn’t understand Aria’s love for him.

I don’t see how his actions can be forgotten. He had her imprisoned and the only reason I see for her staying with him is purely sex. There is just too much trauma he causes her.

I wanted to like this quartet. I really did. Like many bookish girls, Beauty and the Beast is my favorite classic Disney princess tale. But to claim this is a modern retelling of any fashion is crap. The story of Carter and Aria is nothing but toxic, abusive, glorified Stockholm syndrome. As much as I wanted to like this and read it on it's entirety to really give it a fair shot, it 1000% was not my cup of tea.
