I asked for dark romance, and I definitely got it with this one. I absolutely love the pace of this book and the characters growth. I feel that Aria needed Carter just as much as he needed her. If you are looking for forbidden love, dark, hot, and leaving you on the edge of your seat type of book, I highly recommend.

The hits just keep coming. Wow. This was good. So many twists and turns. I didn’t know what was going to happen. Aria grew into such an amazing character that I really did love watching her journey from scared child to amazballz woman. Love their happy ever after moment when Carter finally gets the stick out of his ass and tells her he loves her.

My one thing is I knew she was pregnant before I got too far into the book. It was just a feeling I got while reading it. I loved every second of this book tho. Very happy with this purchase!

Now.. I ate this shit up. There were many plot twists. Although.. I do feel as though there were some parts of this dragged out when it shouldn't have been... but I can see why everything built up the way it did. I did feel as though the ending was rushed...

And secretly, I wish she had shot the gun herself that put the bullet in her father's chest.

This book was terrible. Terrible writing. No plot. The smut wasn’t even good.
It’s trying to force Stockholm syndrome and force a dom/sub relationship. All over cringe.

This book is a Stockholm syndrome/ kidnapping trope. Normally I'm here for it because you know it's fictional. But this one lacked chemistry and relation between the characters. It could have been 300+ pages shorter and it would not have done anything for the plot. Surprised i finished it thb
