If you're looking for a book chronicling the end of the world via nuclear fallout, this may be up your alley. Fairly gruesome but also quite heartwarming at times. A lot of people compare it to King's The Stand, but any way you look at it, it's the classic good vs. evil story.

This one didn't work for me. I found it difficulI to connect with the characters and spent a lot of the book agreeing that those who died in the first cataclysm were better off.

If I were in the mood for a big sprawling apocalyptic page turner, I would read The Stand again rather than Swan Song.
