I liked this book but it started off wonky to me. It was a lot of eye rolling in the first 7 chapters. I switched from reading to listening at that point and I’m glad I did...It got better and, in the end, I liked Alex and Eric’s story - just not as much as I am used to liking this author’s books.

Bowen did it again! She blew my mind with this story, because both Eric and Alex were such wonderful, strong characters to follow. And I have to admit that the circumstances surrounding their meeting again really did it for me, too.
This is a mix between the Brooklyn Bruisers series and the new series, and I found it to be interesting to see some of the hockey while still moving on to something completely different.

This book had me on my toes on finding out if Eric could keep Alex safe while letting himself fall hard in love with her.
Excellent chemistry, mystery, suspense and lovable characters.

Sarina nailed it again. This story had it all. Sexy hockeyplayer, romance, strong female lead and angst. I fell in love with all the characters, even grumpy Max. And god.... the hospital and snow scène... not saying more in case of spoilers but it was the best.
