Thank you to @netgalley and the author #SkyeJordan for the opportunity to read and review.

I really enjoyed this festive love story. Faith and Grant are a really good, funny and compatible pairing.

I really liked how sassy and independent Faith is.

Really lovely read with some spice thrown in! 4⭐️

Grant may be an NHL star but his family is a bit of a mess. When he returns home nursing a recent injury it is hardly a stress free environment. But when out getting the family's xmas tree he sees former love Faith and wonders if they have another chance at love.

Grant did start out as a bit of a self obsessed Jock with more money than sense but he did slowly grow on me. Whilst he's a bit shocked that Faith doesn't jump on the celebrity hunting bandwagon, he enjoys the anonymity of her hardware store. Faith doesn't care about status or celebrity or money and he finds her totally refreshing!

Faith is wise to be worried about his womanising past and fear being a one and done on his bedpost but Grant most definitely has layers and was in all a nice guy. I found it hard to get into the holiday romance theme since its clearly not Winter but I totally relished the sweet sentiment with a side order of saucy romance with heat!

I love a good sports Romance. I also love a good romance in which the guy is totally hooked and it's the woman who needs convincing. This is both of those things. It's a sweet romance that takes place in Holly, NC, in a little town that's dressed up for Christmas all year long. Grant Saber, professional hockey player, and Faith Nicholas are the stars of this wintery romance.

Awesome read! I always look forward to reading more from this amazing author.

Promising start to a new series

This was a very enjoyable story with well written characters, a good story arc and a heartwarming HEA ending. One big plot hole that is not well explained (related to Grant's family, particularly his mother) which just leaves the reader scratching their head and saying "huh? Did I miss something?" which always bugs me. Overall a good and entertaining story though.

Again, this was not exactly what I thought it was going to be. I really liked this book. Famous Hockey player comes back to small town for Christmas. He plays at arrogant but isn't really. He falls for high school crush who wouldn't give him the time of day. She's sweet and vulnerable. There wasn't anything super deep or epic about the story. Just a nice quick read.

Quick Trick is an expanded version of the novella, Home Advantage, which was part of a Christmas Anthology, All He Wants For Christmas. A few details have been changed, but this more fleshed out version gives the reader a better insight to the characters and is also alot hotter. I enjoyed this read just as much as the original novella. The secondary characters also helped move along the emotional part of the story. Plus, with the setting being in a town called Holly, during Christmas, what's not to love?

Grant is a big time hockey player who returns to his small home town to help out with his high school hockey team while recuperating from an injury. He has a contentious relationship with his family and some not-so-good memories of his childhood.

Faith is the literal girl next door who came back home to help her sick father deal with his illness. After his death, she is just trying to keep her head above water by keeping the family hardware store going.

Instant sparks fly when these two reconnect, even though Faith doesn't really remember Grant. But his persistence finally pays off, and Faith finds herself falling the rich, hockey star.
