I had so much fun reading this book and trying to put the pieces together. The ending was such a twist and so unexpected. The format was a nice change to what I normally read, it took a while to get used to, but in the end it made the book so much more fun to read.
I loved every minute of this book ❤️

Well written book, but I found the in-world proceedings distasteful. Only my personal appreciation of things ofc. This book is first and foremost a writing feat for which I do have to say hats off to Ms Cara Hunter. To be able to write and construct a whole book using the varying writing styles she used is definitely worth admiring. Admittedly, the 'live true crime sleuthing' format is not for everyone and gets some time to get accustomed to, but the plotting was intelligent enough to keep things interesting and the story flowing. What I did not enjoy, again just a question of personal pov, is that the team of 'experts' most of the time appeared too shallow to really be believed in. Add upon that the in-world crass intent of the show's producer in the story to deliberately get them to fight each other in the style of [b:Lord of the Flies|7624|Lord of the Flies|William Golding|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1327869409l/7624._SY75_.jpg|2766512] makes for some unsavoury book time. It resounded deeply with my aversion to scripted reality tv. Of course, this in no way detracts from the writing and plotting quality of CH - but since my enjoyment in reading does count, I do have to round this down to 3 GR stars.
Concerning the puzzle, even though it was well-laced, the pace of unveiling was a bit tedious for my tastes. Likely stating the obvious, but the ending suggests that

Rebecca came swiftly back as in a vengeance to off Guy for the killing of dear brother (disregarding his non-saintliness ofc
I really wish I would have read a physical copy, a lot of the media was hard to make out on my kindle. I liked the format of the book, but it felt like there were so many extra characters listed on the media that made it more confusing. Ultimately, the twist caused me to rate it four stars. Everything else felt 2.5/3.
