I dislike having a negative opinion on someone's memoir, it is their life and their experience of a period of time. I listened to this book and it is read by the author. I found it entertaining in general which is why I gave it 3 stars. I did find some of it far-fetched, but again, I could be being biased. There was also a lot of name dropping that sounded excessive and at time almost just bragging about how important he was/is. Some of the stories were disturbing regarding food preparation and what the staff might be doing while they are making our food. If you read the Anthony Bourdain books, this had a similar vibe. It would be interesting to know what people who worked, are working or ever been a part of "Fine Dinning" service feel about this book.

DNF.

Saying me too is important but I'm telling the story as it happened tells me a lot. And the number of references to using other people made it pretty clear this isn't the book for me.
