It was a very nice and simple story. I think Mack’s background could have been fleshed out. His childhood was kind of glossed over, so it wasn’t realistic or rather didn’t connect why he was the way he was. I would say the same for Royal. They were a lovely couple but despite how shitty the ex was, I can’t get behind when the duo got together. The ending was a little too neat and quick. I love to read Ms. Turner’s stories, so it’s still a recommended read.

First. Please get an editor. You're when it should be your. There when it should be their. Other silly mistakes that an editor should have caught.
As to the story. I love both Royal and McKennon. The whole story just works for me.
Ms. Turner writes a disabled hero who accepts his limitations, but also is willing to fight to see if maybe he's not as limited as he/others thought.
Royal accepts Mac just as he is. Doesn't dismiss his disability, but embraces it as part of who he is.
As a disabled person, I find this book to be a good rep for disabled characters.
