This was a five star book from the first chapter. Utterly horrifying, jaw dropping, informative, well researched, and thought provoking. The audiobook read by the author added a level of drama that genuinely brought the probably events of nuclear war to life. “Nuclear war is insane” is spelled out over the pages and minutes it would take to destroy the world as we know it. The utter stupidity of the concept of “limited” nuclear war, and the futility of escalating retaliation are horrifying. This is one of the hardest books I’ve read, and everyone should read it.
