The book pulls you in right at the beginning but to me, after that initial bang, it grows a little stale for a little bit  thengets pretty good again after 100 pages. There's extensive world building and interesting characters. Can't wait to get my hands on the next one in this series.

i loved the world and background but it felt really predictable and i can never get behind a main character who lets lust vs morals dedicate their actions.

i was super unsure about this book to start but when i got about halfway, i couldn’t put it down. i used every excuse to read (and finish) this book because i enjoyed it so much. i knocked half a star off of my rating because i thought some “plot twists” were a little predictable, but other than that, i loved this book!
