If it's a Tessa Bailey, I'm giving it a shot no matter what. That was definitely the case when I saw this Made in Jersey bundle deal on audiobooks from Chirp. I dove right in and was on a brief, but spicy AF ride.

Sarge is 23 and has been in love with Jasmine since he was a teenager. She was his sister's best friend and 7 years older than him, but he caught one look and was hooked. Now, he's a rock star who has tons of sexy songs, all about Jasmine, and has finally come back to Jersey to spend time with his sister. His sister asks Jasmine to put him up for his stay and Sarge makes no qualms about hiding his feelings for Jasmine. But can she let go of the age difference and fact that they live in two very different worlds?

This has a lot of šŸŒ¶ļø. A lot. Young man likes to say the things as well. Read if you like:
āœ… Younger man
āœ… Rockstar romance
āœ… Babysitter kink šŸ˜‚

This story takes place over such a short period of time although heā€™s wanted her his whole life. Iā€™m not taking a microscope to the story, itā€™s basically sm*t and I knew that going in. For that it delivers but I had a real issue with the sisterā€™s decision making.

She struggles mostly unnecessarily and almost completely due to her own pride. River is messy and thatā€™s fine! I just really didnā€™t understand her decisions at all. Her brother couldnā€™t stay with her because of her daughter? People have uncles, people have relatives and friends that they rarely see because of distance but can still communicate with them. Not wanting her daughter to see a man leave? She's 3! Especially after learning the father doesn't even know the child exists, I doubt she's developing a complex from being "abandoned" (because she wasn't abandoned). I think a toddler can understand not everyone lives with them forever (does the daughter understand Jasmine's relationship considering they don't live together? does she develop a complex when they're not together?). Unless there's something truly awful we're to learn about her ex, this is a very weird side character.
