It is a mystery that kept me reading. The two main characters twins Ellie and Mika are engaging, and I can't wait to see what happens next. They are mutants and I want to know all the details about their powers. They have abilities and other quirks that equip them to fight the threats they face. Fast paced and fun!

3,5 stars. A lighter dystopian sci-fi novel, perfect for younger readers. Really enjoyable.

Virtual reality video games, mutants, cyborgs, high-tech fighter planes and spaceships populate this fast-paced sci-fi adventure set in a grim future London. Earth has been devastated by an animal plague, and the surviving members of humanity have all crammed behind a great wall in the northern hemisphere. Poor people live in tiny "fold-down" apartments while the rich live in golden turrets above them. The very poorest of the poor live in "The shadows" a dark, dank cesspool below the main city.

Fun to read and hard to put down.
