Wow. Okay. I didn't expect to love this as much as I did.
The protagonists had such good chemistry and banter, the MMC was so goofy and charming and the FMC was so sarcastic and playful. Loved seeing these two overcome their issues and not fuck each other up along the way, which is weird for me to like. I usually love loads of drama and fuck ups but this was a romcom with a jealous ex and loads of family creases to smooth out. I like that they have a history but that wasn't too much part of the story, only served to legitimise his feelings. But it's great because I don't feel like we missed out. Love the steam. Just a big fan of this book. My only criticism was it felt a tad long but I'm here for it.

From the banter to the swoon this one captured my attention from the start.

Rory freaking Miller. This man. He shocked me in this one. Rory is sweet, thoughtful, protective, and loves to spoil Hazel. Hazel is tough, fun, and sassy. The banter between these two was so good. They had me laughing and swooning all at the same time. The spice was brought my friends, and the build up was absolutely worth it.

I loved how these two communicated with one another throughout the book, and always made each other feel seen and important. The support was everything.

I can't wait for more in this series!
