The Lovely: I loved the FMC’s journey and development as a character as she learns and grows with the support of a pack of swoonworthy alphas. She comes a long way over the course of the story but it felt believable and authentic.
The Mundane: I would have liked to have seen more development of the alphas in the pack - their histories, their growth and what makes each unique. I basically had to associate each MMC with their job to keep them straight because there really wasn’t anything setting them apart from each other.
Recommendation: This book was on my 25 in 2025 list and is the last omegaverse book off that list, sadly. This was more hurt/comfort and healing than emotional angst. I liked the sweet pack set against the dark world and life the FMC has lived. There are two prior books in this series, as well as some other omegaverse series. The author also has a standalone romantasy due to release this summer.
I’ve been looking forward to this book for what feels like forever (really only a few months haha!) and it definitely exceeded my expectations!
We first met Gabrielle in the first Omega War book, Omega Found. We don’t get to see much of her, as she isn’t the focus of that book of the second. She stuck with me though, and I’m so glad that we get to see what happened to her after she and Harper part ways, and after the Omega Compound is revamped.
While this book still covers dark themes, it has an overall lighter feel. Gabrielle faces different challenges than Harper and Ava, still daunting, but without the threat of the Creed hanging over her head.
The Reyne pack is amazing. They’re not perfect, but they’re the perfect alphas for someone who has the experiences that Gabby has. They’re gentle giants, full of compassion, and respectful of her boundaries (even if they step over the line before they know it exists).
If you’re looking for a hürt/comfort trope, insta-love, golden-retriever energy and a lack of cinnamon rolls, this is the perfect book for you. This is the third book in the series, each book following different omegas and packs. You don’t have to read them in order but some things might be spoiled if you don’t.

It was better than book 2 in terms of how the trauma was dealt with and even though we didn’t get to see them marking it was truly enjoyable.
Still hate how they continue to ignore Harper’s role in the Creed’s abolishment like the Winters didn’t make the plan.
