Stretches*
Ok so I actually already read this book several years ago and I wanted to read more of Kathryn's books so I decided I had to reread this one!
and I'm very glad I did I enjoyed it so much this book has it all I was laughing out loud at scenes, and in the horror of others literally having to sit down to take in what was happening.

Kathryn does a very good job with character building, Remi is married off to a very horrible man treating her and her little sisters very badly.. but you can just see her grow from this very scared wife afraid of men to a very strong woman not afraid to stand up for what she wants and believes in! and shes incredibly sweet which means Gaston have no chance!

Gaston is another you just see grow in these 800 pages (hes everyone's dream knight once you read this you will understand and or drool...) hes this very rough hardened knight of the King Henry who takes over the keep in which Remi lives and there our love story begins! you see him change for the better turning from this battle hardened knight to a man who is willing to take on the world for his family and love

You see how he comes to care for her and do anything just to show her how not just a man but person should treat another person (even with his gruff way about it...)
“Never, ever think that she is a burden to me.” His voice was as low as thunder. “She is the reason I am willing to take on the church. I would walk through fire for her, and I would kill an army of thousands single-handedly if she were to ask it of me. Never believe that Henry holds true power over me; this lady that you touch is my reason for living, and 'tis only she who holds my true power.”

If you love medieval romances as much as I do you really should read this book you will enjoy it
that is all :)
