This book is unique, fast-paced, and sex positive. Because it was so fast paced, I was looking for a bit more development of the relationship but it was still a really fun read.

I officially love romance novels and this book has everything to do with it.

Ok. I have a lot of feelings about this book. I did not expect Josh to be a porn star. The first 100-150 pages made me feel two things; Uncomfortable and cringe, Or just one of them. I can't tell. It seemed so awkward to me. I feel like the author just put in things that would make the readers happy or "spicy". Some scenes were really nice though. I did really hate the fact that they both kept saying things like they wouldn't ever be allowed to be in-love. It just seemed weird to me. One of the few good things about this book is Naomi. I fucking love her, she has my entire heart. If she had her own book. I would read it.

This book was STEAMY. Not like basic bitch steamy but more like H O T.

I went into this book with fairly low expectations, mainly cause I was in a reading slump already but god damn this book delivered more then I was expecting. The cover Lowkey suggests more lols and discrete bangs, but it really delivered on great f*cks. And they were *chefs kiss*

The other thing about this book was the sex positivity, Rosie Danan did an exceptional job of producing a character who is comfortable with his sexuality as well as being fully in control, making sure there is consent in all situations.

I would 100% recommend this, the only thing I would have liked to have seen a bit more is the troubling relationship Clara had with her family

Oh man, this book was excellent. I’m usually not a fan of friends to lovers, but oh boy am I a fan of Clara and Josh. A sweet, funny him o and an uptight wasp? Excellent. I already have another book by the same author all geared up to read next and I can’t wait to start it

tl;dr this book was alright but I won’t read it again - 6/10

Josh was super sweet and charming. Clara was very bland but I guess that’s not a terrible thing. I didn’t think they had much chemistry though.

By the end, I wasn’t very invested in the story. Also, some of the scenarios were both predictable and unrealistic, e.g., the first time they did anything mildly steamy.

I do like the some of the underlying themes. (1) Sex work is real work. The author did a good job of explaining the dark side of sex work (in my opinion) without getting too preachy. (2) Don’t spend your entire life trying to meet other people’s ridiculous expectations of you while simultaneously sacrificing your own happiness. (3) Your college degree should not necessarily dictate your career path.

Anywho, this book was alright. :)
