This time the author digs deep into some heavy themes, and delas more with the two abusive issues I felt were glossed over in the first book. (view spoiler)

I think Ms. Revis does a great job exploring what might happen when an authoritarian regime collapes, and people’s blinders are ripped off (in this case taking the people off Phydus).

My biggest problem with this book is the plot device used to move the action along. If Orion wanted Amy to have certain information, he should have told her. Leaving behind an elaborate clue-laden trails is a convoluted path of ridiculousness. Ugh!

Having Amy accidentally find or come across answers - even answers that lead to more questions - would have made this a better read for me. Instead, I rolled my eyes and shook my head every time they found or solved a clue, because WTF?!?! This is an asinine, inefficient, and potentially disastrous way to impart vital knowledge to another person.
