Usually a huge Kondo fan, but this one just didn’t hit for me.  Felt more along the lines of toxic positivity-so much in work life is out of people’s control, especially given financial situations, and I don’t feel like the methodologies here were that unique or in depth compared to the usual insights of her work on tidying.

The way the narrator spoke really turned me off from the book. But the content and wording also seemed less like Marie Kondo's previous books and more like corporate propaganda intended to force everyone to work endlessly in order to make their employer more profitable. However, that might have just been my mindset when I read the book.

Even though I loved her first book, this one felt very tedious and a little too practical. It will make great material for some step-guides, but maybe that’s all it should have been.
