It was entertaining enough but extremely tropey and way way way too long - needed some serious editing down.

I also feel like some of these romances try to make the female main character too interesting that all the other characters (especially the female ones) fall flat and stereotypical. She's special only because the rest of the women are written in such clichéd terms.

Also not too sure about the domestic abuse subplot - there were elements that were dealt with well but often it felt like merely another plot device to enable the mmc to demonstrate his love for the fmc by fighting the abuser and didn't delve any deeper into the horrendous reality of living and surviving abuse.

i knew that when i first read this book on that orange app, i would annotate the hell out of it when it got published, and that is exactly what i did.

although i love everything about this book, the characters and the found family vibes were my absolute favourite !

i love this book so so much, and it will always have a special place in my little broken heart <3

Definitely a book. I didn't know what to expect with it, but so many things happened I confess I feel a bit overwhelmed by it. I enjoyed the characters, but I confess how things happened sometimes bothered me a lot, especially because it seemed the author kept throwing bad events and fights into the plot just to add drama and some depth to it. I missed the lightness of a romance. I think it's possible to mix both a light romance and hard and deep topics. Also I was very upset with how this book had such a good potential of developing a nice friend group and, most times, I feel like that wasn't explored much because it was very focused on the relationship and the relationship only. However, the times were this was explored and mentioned on the book were probably what I enjoyed the most! The last thing I want to pinpoint is that I don't think this book should be as long as it is, which is something that also bothered me a lot because it seemed like it was never ending. I'm not sure I'll read the other books of this series but I'll think about it.
