I wasn't sure going into this series how I was going to feel in comparison to the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series and ultimately, I didn't need to worry at all because The Heroes of Olympus was a phenomenal series with a great story and even greater characters.

While the story was excellent in this final installment, I was more invested in the characters and their arc resolutions and WOW - I loved all of our new (and new POV) characters but Leo and Nico were absolutely my favorites and I was so happy with their...endings
(but not quite the end <3)
.

Rather than reading physically this go around I ended up trying the audiobook and it was done so well - the narrator was fantastic with each character POV and I could feel their unique personalities come through with his narration style.

My goal over the next year is to complete all of Rick Riordan's work; next up - Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard and my absolute favorite pantheon!

I am soo grateful for getting introduced to mythologies on whole through
Percy Jackson books cause I am learning a lot
and the books explains in details about the each parts of mythology on whole.
I loved the character arc, it showed how much they grew and learned throughout
There are many moments where I felt so proud of the characters where they face struggles and the way they all were dealing with,

By the end, Rick got us all and I slammed the book when I read Leo died,
I just couldn't believe what I just read cause throughout the book
He was my one of the favourite characters, and he was bit struggling more but didn't show it all,
I was like Noo, he so does not deserve this at all!
but I was more relaxed after reading the final chapter of the book
and was finally able to breathe, I loved that big twist which had almost all of the readers in unbelievable shock.

Hera’s plan finally starts working, our heroes face the giants WITH the gods! It was such a scene! You had to be there ro fully enjoy it, Gaia does almost awaken but Leo Valdez..oh my lovely Leo saves everyone’s gluteus and heads out, he does have a happy ending-ish..so we do get some surprises and some unexpected alliances but all ends well, what I do love was the hint to the prophecies not working anymore and Zeus being mad at Apollo towards the end of the book HINTING THE BEGINNING OF APOLLO’S TRIALS SERIES!!!
