Without finishing this is a 3 stars for me. My intention is to pick this up again for when it suits me. My issue with it right now is that the love interest is TOO interesting, TOO 3D. Oh he’s emotionally responsible AND nurturing AND has zero toxicity AND he looks like a dilf but wait..he also looks fine in a suit AND outdoors clothes? It’s too much fluff for what I actually wanna read rn.

I bought this book on whim  because it was on sale.
I dont usually go for these kinds of books but the premise kind of intrigued me.

After reading it, I know why I usually don't go for these books. It was really cheesy and tropey.
All on all it wasn't a bad book but I was bored at times and started skimming.

I guess this was on me. I'm sure many people would love this, it's just not for me.

This book was soo freakin’ boring, the mc is stubborn and dramatic, her love interest would be cute if the author would let him have a personality instead of just writing about how hot he is.

I really enjoyed this one. Particularly how the main character Drew is dealing with the recent loss of her grandmother. I loved the idea that the love interest Jasper is a romance writer. Their banter was cute and the steamy scenes were giving.

Look, I was excited for this one. I liked the cover as soon as I saw it, and as a bookseller myself I’m a sucker for a good ole’ bookshop romance.
And maybe my excitement is why I was so unimpressed.
Or maybe I just couldn’t move past the fact that Drew is SO hard for me like. I wish we didn’t spend the whole novel in her head, I think I’d have enjoyed the more from an outside perspective because the story/writing itself is not bad in the slightest.
