Great narrator! Patricia R. Floyd brought these characters to life that made me feel their pain.
This book shows what happens when in a family everyone's cup is empty. Little compassion for one another and lots of arguing and accusations ensue. Family secrets are revealed that everyone has to grapple with.
At the same time this book is not hopeless and shows resiliency.

I read the audiobook.  Didn't really like the narrator's pace and phrasing.  But the story was good.

This was a really good book about sisterhood in a southern Black family. There are some difficult topics that come up, but ultimately the message of the book in hopeful and reconciliatory.

Family secrets can really make or break a family. I liked this book, however in the audiobook version it was a little hard to decern who was speaking at first. I thought the twins were the same person for a solid 20 minutes.
