I.....bruh.

I mean, I can appreciate it as a book that was one of the first of its kind, as a book that created a new way of thinking about human sexuality, or whatever, but it's really just a Trojan horse for rushed, disorganized writing and themes that are so beyond misogynistic that all I could do was gape in shock, especially at the final few pages.

Wanda was a girlboss.

hmm
adventurous funny lighthearted relaxing fast-paced

Masochism, right.
dark mysterious reflective slow-paced

What a weird ass book but I must shamefully admit that I do enjoy reading it

2,5

shiny, shiny, shiny boots of leather

nie jest w stanie wskrzesić emocji
a szkoda

It definitely wasn't what I expected it to be. I didn't really care for it, but I got through it, even though by the end I hated Severin, and felt that he got what he deserved for making Wanda change. It was exactly what he wanted, after all, so its ridiculous that he was mad at her. What a miserable worm.

I really enjoyed the aspects of human nature that this story explores, but there are bits that seem repetitive and annoying, such as Severin's continued trust after being lied to and abused by Wanda so many times, only to reveal that she was pretending to care for him. But overall, pleasant and intriguing read, leaves you feeling like you're not even sure how to feel about it in the end, because it's so hard to relate to the characters (at least for me!).
