Decent story, slightly predictable, a lot of different POV's.

I loved the setting of this story and that was ultimately my favourite thing about this book.
This is a thriller that takes place on an island, mostly in an isolated beach house/beach setting.
The reason this didn’t get higher than a 3 star was because the twists and certain events towards the end of the book irritated the hell out of me.
I will be checking out more from Lucy Clarke as I find her writing very intriguing and easy to read.

I was enjoying this book until about 80% of the way through, when it started to sound a little familiar. The similarities to Big Little Lies are impossible to ignore — it’s the exact same story repackaged into a new setting, right down to the climactic scene at the end.
