Can't recommend this book enough. Can't say much about it since I don't want to spoil anything, but the story is perfect.

It was weird. Wasn't a huge fan of the twist.

This was a lovely book. This is my favourite Tepper book so far.

The book was certainly about animal rights and respecting the earth, though as I was reading, I was so immersed in the world that I didn't care "what it was really about". Animal rights activists and environmentalists would love the message presented. That being said I never felt preached to, and I dislike being preached to even about things I agree with.

The characters were so interesting and extraordinary. The world was so much fun to learn about. There was a lot going on in this book, plot-wise. At times I was concerned the pieces wouldn't all fit together, but I was wrong. Surprise after surprise and it worked.

Though, Dora didn't seem to be doing much policing, which I found a bit odd, it being her job and all. (And from what I've seen on the never-lies-to-me television, being a cop is a lifestyle, not a job.)

This books is fine, fun, easy. A few good moments but generally sticks to status quo despite potential for something more interesting. Nothing terribly offensive, just simple.
