Fresco, original, sério e carregado de humor ao mesmo tempo. Olhar crítico sobre as actividades bélicas. E a mão de Vonnegut embrulha tudo magistralmente.

It seemed a little odd (but amusing) at first. I'd say, the first half is used to introduce the funny little bits and sayings. Then after they're established, Vonnegut weaves them together seamlessly as Billy falls in and out of time. I'm not sure I'd read it again, but it was an interesting read. "If you're ever in Wyoming, ask for Wild Bob."

I always said any books set in or around wars don’t appeal to me, but this book was so highly recommended I had to read it.
A genuinely touching story, and unique perspective on WWII - my heartstrings were definitely tugged at parts and the depiction of PTSD was very compelling.
The bizarre and kooky bits of the story threw me at first and then eventually became my favourite narrative to return to. Probably will recommend everyone to read this at some point in their life and I’m really pleased I finally picked this up.

well war literature is definitely not my cup of tea. I mean I'd rather boil my own hair and drink it like tea than so much as read a poem that deals with war. now, despite this level of aversion, this book was quite touching. no preachy passages condemning the war, no. that was the beauty. you have this unreliable narrator who's been through so much that his perception of the whole world is now warped. the atrocities of war are described quite eloquently. the cyclical structure of the plot was also quite satisfying to get through.

Slaughterhouse five is next to impossible to review because of the complexity of the book. So let’s start off with what the book is about, layer by layer: war, PTSD, time-travel, Dresden, WW2, and aliens
