This started out okay then the pace became really fast and the story disjointed. The scene jumps are abrupt, the character development is almost nonexistent, and the romance is childished and forced. Hard to care about their romance when we barely know the characters nor why they even like each other.

It took me a while to finally read this and I am glad I didn't rush to read it. I'll give volume 2 a try, but if it is much of the same I'll give up on this series.

Oddly disappointed in this one. Sounded really cute and the book itself is beautiful. The art is lovely. But I just didn’t believe or care about the relationship. Plus the time jump felt like it was missing something. It felt like a lot of the book was missing scenes that would’ve helped me understand and care about the characters or relationships. It felt like nothing was really happening. I might continue the series at some point to see if it gets better but this first volume was definitely not a favorite.
