Well shit… that was unexpected…not my favorite of the series, but because I prefer MFM books more than MM or MMF. Again, personal preference. The story was ok, but not as captivating as the first book. Still want to know what happens because that ending was just too much…
I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first. It felt quite repetitive and Poe started to get a little annoying with her one track mind.
Saint is still adorable though and I’m glad we got to see more of his and Auden’s relationship. The plot twist wasn’t a surprise because I picked up on the foreshadowing, but obviously I’m hoping all is not as it seems.
However, I’m not sure I’m going to bother reading the next book to find out. Kinda feels like it was just put in for shock value.

Listen, do I love the twist ending that wasn't really a twist because it was so obvious from the beginning and it took the characters WAY TOO LONG to figure it out? Absolutely not. Is Poe super boring? Yes. Am I'm still going to keep reading this series because now I'm really into the murder mystery ritual magic thing? Duh. Also, Sierra Simone's use of words is just lovely.
