HEY HI WHAT THE FUCK
a wonderful continuance of the first book. More secrets, more intrigue, more spice.
This book for reals left me with a massive
supernova of thoughts and feelings.
I'm left sorta speechless.

Okay I definitely liked this one more than the first! I think I just struggled with all the characters in book one, and now I’m familiar with them and rooting for them.
I also really liked finally getting Auden and Saint’s backstory and their falling out eight years prior. It was so annoying in the first book how it was heavily alluded to but was still a mystery.
Poe was slightly less annoying to me here!! She was giving very not like other girls in book one which was driving me bananas. I also liked getting more of Becket, Delphine, and Rebecca here. They no longer feel like background characters, but integral to the story.
I love the mixing elements of Catholicism and paganism and mythicism here. I think that’s something that is a sweet spot for this author, because it’s absolutely prevalent in most of her other works and it just makes for these super unique books with really interesting concepts.
Was it arguably a very similar story just with a new ritual? Sure. But it was way sexier and way more fast paced. I think that’s where I struggled with the first book, it just felt very slow to me.
Also like, I really like all the characters together. And I didn’t think I’d be as into it as I am, but like yeah. Sierra Simone is a master at smut.
That reveal at the end…Miss Simone WHAT? Like did I have a little niggling in the back of my mind like…could it be? Maybe. But I don’t want to believe it!! I’m really hating on that and there BETTER be a turnaround here.

I liked the first book in the series better, but this was still incredible. The 🌶️🌶️🌶️ scenes were amazing as always and the one with the priest in the church? 🥵🥵🥵
Very much looking forward to the story continuing in the next installment. The cliffhanger/twist at the end felt fairly broadcasted to me, so I wasn't surprised, but I thought it would come up a little earlier than it did.
