OK, so this series is my guilty pleasure. I enjoy so much about these books, and the weird plot things (the royal family in the midst of a rebellion doesn't have guards around them 24/7? Even after But these are like candy fluff of the best kind. I really liked Eadlyn as a protagonist, moreso than America, because Eadlyn is flawed and has an attitude and everyone isn't falling over themselves to say how great she is (a la America).
Also odd to see the caracters from the first books now as parents, when they're all about 37, right? Interesting that America and Maxon would have kids right away after marrying as teens, rather than waiting. But I guess that makes sense for a royal family... maybe?
Whatever. Bring on the sequel!! Because I know who I want Eadlyn to wind up with and I can't wait to see it happen.

Evelyn is just way too annoying and the selection series has always seemed shallow and pointless too me.
These books were recommended by my niece a while ago. They are YA books and ai have enjoyed them. I actually liked this book because we get to see the main characters of the previous series years later. Thank you for the recommendation.

Since I listened to the audiobook for most of this one I am going to start with my thoughts on that. The Narrator was tolerable. Not my favorite, she had a few quirks that irritated me but it didn't turn me off of the book or anything.
So had the ending not been what it was this would have been a 3.5 for me. Edlyn was such a brat and I found myself rooting for the guys more than her. She does redeem herself in the end though.
I do love the guys in this. I thought I knew for sure who she would end up with but I still don't know now lol. So on to the last one to find out who it will be!

La protagonista es bastante irritante y caprichosa, hace reflexiones bastante estúpidas de la nada y es bastante predecible.
