Hilarious, great fun, ingenious, world building, adventure, tough young girl kicks baddies butt- oh yeah! Magic, escapism. Lol humour, Great character and world building. A book series I never expected to love.
My brother used to work for harper collins so I got to read a lot of books from all different genre's. Really enjoyed these. Different to anything I've ever read. They did become a bit repetitive by around book 7 (particularly the fight scenes) I've given these books as gifts over the years to kids and adults of all ages and they all seem to love them.
I really appreciate the strong female characters that are empowering and encouraging to girls. Plus a sarcastic talking skeleton, now that's awesome!
